Southern Pygmy Squid
Scientific Name: Xipholeptos notoides, Last Edited: 12/4/2022, 12:37:02 PMDescription
A very tiny Cephalopod, the Southern Pygmy Squid are hard to find and harder to photograph.
Smaller than all their other squid and octopus cousins, they feast on shrimp and other small crustaceans. They glue themselves to the back of seagrass and other underwater foliage before ambushing their prey!
