Dermatobranchus sp.

Dermatobranchus sp.

Scientific Name: Dermatobranchus sp., Last Edited: 1/15/2024, 10:14:51 AM
Type: Nudibranch, Colour: White, Pattern: Spots, Size: Small, Shape: Long

Description

This white nudibranch has possibly been introduced into South Australian waters from fishing vessels. The nudibranch has some lines across the mantle with some black spots which are hard to see without a good camera zoom.

Currently quite common at Wallaroo Jetty, can be seen in great numbers, but also spreading to other sites now.

Originally labelled as Dermatobranchus Oculus, from the indo-pacific, but appears to be a different species.
