Description

This jetty gets a lush boost of nutrients at each tide from the small channel nearby which causes the visibility to be great and the sea life to flourish. However this does bring a strong current with it. If dived when there is no current, it is a very pleasant dive with some great schools of fish, uncommon nudibranchs and lots of decorator crabs. A must dive if you are are up this way.

Access

This site has a very strong current as there is only a small channel that drains the bay. Dive exactly on a high tide rather than slack tide as there is a small delay in draining out the tidal waters and preferably after a small tidal swing from low tide. This will ensure you have a good hour of little to no current.
