Description

Right Point, Cat Bay on the western side of Phillip Island is a popular surfing spot. However, with the right conditions, it's also a great snorkelling and diving location.

Right Point looks out to the north-west with Cat Bay to the east and Sealers Cove to the south-west. The dive here is about exploring the small offshore reefs around Right Point.

There are old jetty pylons further to the north in Cat Bay which can be worth fossicking around, but it's a long way to get there and back.

Cat Bay was named by George Bass in January 1798 because he lost his cat here (Phillip Island Historical Society).
