Description

The historic Kerferd Road Pier juts 250 metres from the foreshore at Albert Park, off Beaconsfield Parade, opposite Kerferd Road, roughly 20 minutes drive from the Melbourne CBD. Constructed in 1889, it's a popular spot with close by cafes and shops. In 2019 the heritage-listed Kerferd Pier underwent an upgrade. Approximately 60 per cent of the timber decking was replaced to make the pier structurally safe. New piles, new decking and new handrails.

Kerferd Road Pier is ideal for snorkelling. Visibilty for diving and snorkelling is best in winter. Public berthing for boats is available on Kerferd Road Pier for up to 48 hours at a time (vessels should be attended).
