The First Cave dive site lies at Cape Frederick, the north-eastern tip of Lady Julia Percy Island. It's only a small and shallow feature but worth seeing on the right day.

Perhaps only 4–6 metres deep, First Cave runs through the north-east point of the island and is open to the air/light above water at the north-west end. The wow factor is the popularity with seals and the opportunity to see them swirling in the shafts of afternoon light from the end of the cave. If you are ever lucky enough to experience that sight, you will never forget it!
